Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you book a stay, a spa treatment or high tea, or buy a gift voucher directly from Spacube. Please read them before you book.

1. Who these terms cover

These terms cover direct bookings only: bookings made through our website, through our Nightsbridge booking page, or with us by WhatsApp or phone.

Bookings made through LekkeSlaap, Booking.com, Agoda or any other booking platform follow that platform’s own terms and cancellation policy. Our house rules, spa rules and liability terms below still apply during your stay.

2. Bookings and payment

  • Suite bookings are made through Nightsbridge, our online booking system. Your booking is confirmed once you receive a written confirmation from us or from Nightsbridge.
  • A deposit of 50% is payable at booking. The balance is payable on arrival.
  • Spa treatments and high tea are booked by WhatsApp or phone. Reservations are essential, including when you use a voucher.
  • Prices: Spacube is not registered for VAT (value-added tax), so our prices do not include VAT.
  • Long stays: direct bookings of more than 7 nights receive a 25% discount. It applies to direct bookings only and cannot be combined with any other offer or discount unless stated.

3. Online payments

  • Online payments are processed on a secure hosted payment page run by our payment provider.
  • Your card details are entered directly with that provider. Spacube does not see or store your card details.

4. Cancellations (direct bookings)

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more before arrival: no charge.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival: 100% of the booking value is charged.

For bookings made through a booking platform, see section 1: that platform’s cancellation policy applies.

5. No-shows

If you do not arrive on your booked date and have not cancelled under section 4, 100% of the booking value is charged.

6. Check-in and check-out

  • Check-in: from 14:00 · Check-out: by 10:00.
  • Early check-in for direct bookings is offered when the suite is ready; it is not guaranteed.
  • Please let us know your arrival time in advance.

7. House rules

  • No smoking indoors.
  • No pets.
  • Only guests named on the booking may stay overnight.
  • Quiet hours are 22:00–07:00. Please respect other guests.
  • Damage beyond normal wear may be charged to the guest responsible.
  • Backup power is available during load-shedding, except between 23:00 and 05:00.

Children

  • Spacube is a tranquil adult retreat that welcomes well-behaved children.
  • Each suite sleeps a maximum of 3 guests (2 adults and 1 child). Larger parties must be arranged before booking.
  • Babies aged 0–2 stay free. We don’t supply cots; you may bring your own travel cot by prior arrangement.
  • Children aged 3–11 stay free in the existing bedding. Breakfast is R95 per child.
  • Guests aged 12 and over pay the adult rate.
  • Extra beds are available on request at R185 per night, subject to suite size.
  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • The spa and Spa cube are for guests aged 16 and over.

8. The spa (Adventure of the Senses®)

  • Arrival: please arrive 10 minutes early. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your treatment will be shortened so the next guest is not delayed, and the full price applies.
  • Health declaration: before your treatment you will complete a short health form. Tell us about any medical condition, allergy, pregnancy or medication. We may change or decline a treatment for your safety.
  • Spa cancellations: please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or move a treatment. If you cancel with less notice, 50% of the treatment price is charged.

9. Breakfast and high tea

  • B&B breakfast is served 07:00–09:30.
  • High tea for four: R800. Booking is essential by WhatsApp or phone. Please give at least 48 hours’ notice of any dietary requests.

10. Gift vouchers (one set of terms for all vouchers)

These terms replace all earlier voucher wording on our website and products.

  • Condition of sale: this voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. By buying it you accept this validity period. Unused value lapses after expiry and isn’t refundable.
  • Vouchers can be used for what is stated on the voucher (spa treatments, high tea and/or stays). Any promotional bonus value (for example, extra value added to a voucher) can be used for spa services only.
  • Reservations are essential when you redeem a voucher.
  • Vouchers are transferable: you may give your voucher to someone else to use.
  • Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and no cash refunds are given, including for unused balances.
  • Electronic vouchers are emailed within one business day. Physical vouchers in a Spacube Gift Cube carry a delivery charge.
  • Lost vouchers can be reissued only if we can verify the purchase.

11. R100 direct-booking spa voucher

When you book a stay directly with us, you receive a R100 spa voucher, on these conditions:

  • It counts towards one spa package of R800 or more.
  • One voucher per booking.
  • It cannot be combined with any other offer or discount, including the LekkeSlaap 15% discount.
  • No cash value; it cannot be exchanged or refunded.
  • It is valid until 31 March 2027.

12. Liability

  • You use the suites, grounds and spa at your own risk. Spacube is not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings, or for injury, except where caused by our gross negligence or where the law does not allow us to exclude liability.
  • We are not responsible for disruptions outside our control, such as load-shedding (planned power cuts), water outages or severe weather, but we will do our best to reduce the impact.
  • Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

13. Your personal information (POPIA)

We handle your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). See our Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
